My truck doesn't have them but could I put them in? Is it a plug and play or does GM not wire there stuff like that any more?

You need the steering wheel and the clockspring. Then, after you install it you'll need to take it to a GM dealer so they can re program the truck.
There is probably 200 posts about this on every GM truck board, some even take you step by step thru the swap.
