Allison 5sp: Starter Engaging???????

HELP-Starter Engaging???????

OK, this may be a dumb question but I just did my first allison swap into the drag truck and when I was filling it up I got it almost full then ran it through the gears and when I put it in drive the first time it sounded like the starter engaged and the lights dimmed. So I put it back in neutral then put it in drive again- nothing so then I dropped it to 3rd same thing and now every time I put into 3rd it sounds like the starter is engaging. I can't figure it out, I pulled the starter and can't see anything wrong. Is it the starter or something in the trans that sounds like the starter? The truck is an 02 eclb all stock except boost valve,intake horn and exhaust, the trans is a used SC-IV. Thanks in advance for the help.

Loose cables at the starter.

I will run out there and put the starter back in and check everything. I hope its that simple.

Help!!!

Any hints to which wire? I put a new solenoid on and the problem is still there, not as bad but its still engaging between D and 3. I have checked all connections and wires and I can't find anything loose. Supposed to go to the track tomorrow so any help would be appreciated!
