Anyone else have this happen, Started truck moved it started again.Went to start again and zing zing. Look in there and starter is out at bottom and tilted and top bolt in and part of the housing brock off.

Seriously, i went to start mine yesterday and the started whined like it didnt make contact . I will definitley check mine.

I think I heard awhile back it was from the bottom bolt coming out.Then it tilts from trying to stat and breaks the rest off.
bummer! at least the starter broke and not the bellhousing of the trans though!!!!!! that would have sucked a lot more!
are you planning to weld it back together or replace it? dunno if they'll take it as a core with the cast piece broke

I know I saw somewere else that this happened also.Might of been on the diesel place.Got luck it has been in the driveway since we got home from the beach on wed night I think started it with remote then never moved it, Went today and parked it in the driveway and playing with EFI Live to try and get the dash and logging to work started it up about the 3 time it was just zing zing zing hmm,Got out looked it was cocked werd pulled wheel housing out looked again and shit top bolt and that ear still tight as hell, no bottom bolt to be found.Any other time I have some loctite on them,Guess I forgot that the last time about 3,600 miles ago lol.
Yikes! I had a flexplate go bad on me with my '05 that stranded me in AZ for the better part of a week, but the starter itself was ok.
I'll fix it tommorrow, I almost bet I will have it fixed faster then Nick getting his cp3 on his truck lol.
