What is the best way to run stacks. When from the four inch stack that my truck came with, then jury rigged a back exit system, but I was having problems with it not staying in place. So I put they stack back on, then found a 8in on Craigslist. This stack is about 5 to 8 inchs taller, now it is louder. Is there any way to quiet it down a little. I was thinking about making some baffles for in side the stack. I just don't want to cut up the exhaust any more.

I believe fte sells a nice resonator for around $80 that's supposed to make it a lot quieter

While compounds truly are great for the noise concerns, the resonater idea I think would work too as mentioned above

What type of resonator are you thinking of.....in the stack or in the pipe. It was subjected to use insulation, but I am not sure how long that would last.
