New to the diesel world and just picked up my first 3 months ago. No real plans for the truck right now just a clean daily driver

First day I picked up the truck from Lancaster.

Finally home in the driveway

Quick wash and debadge the next day

Ended up choosing an MBRP 4 inch turbo back. No real drone at cruising speed and sounds great on acceleration.

Quick shot of the tailgate when I ran the clay bar and rubbing compound over the truck. Got a lot of swirls and scratches out

And here's a random shot at work. Gonna be taking my time with this. I'm a big believer in less is more so attention to detail will be the main focus of this truck. Stay tuned!

Nothing to huge of an update just a few things I picked up lately.

Couple new tag bolts. Always been a fan of how clean these look.

Been reading alot about lly maintenance and grabbed this from PPEI.

And i been meaning to paint the fender flares to match. Had a lot of luck with this brand on previous trucks. Also have a new roll pan from my last truck I never used so that's gonna be the next project over July.

It's not though. If I were purchasing one with a lot of options I admit it wouldn't have made my short list, but after owning this color I like it quite a bit. It has a depth in the full sun that most colors for Chevy/GMC don't. Better than the white or gold that the majority seem to be...

So nothing crazy but did a few upgrades today. The tai lights on the truck had that faded film stuff like most of these trucks do so I replaced them with OEM Silverado lenses.

Also picked up a bed cover for stupid cheap through work I couldn't pass it up. I really like how clean these type look. Had one on my last truck as well

And one after a quick spray wax this evening. P.s. I hate the faded headlights!!!

Question..I wanted a rear sliding window in my 07 classic and my window guy said he couldn't get one as they didn't list one for my exact pickup..(crew cab sb) did you put that window in or was it on there when you bought the pickup?? Whole rig looks good:thumb:

It was there when I picked it up. My father in law has the exact same truck just different color. Sliding window as well. Also a guy i work with has an 06 HD with the 6.0l and he also has a sliding window. Weird.

Quick TBT for you guys. This is my truck I sold to buy the LLY, still kinda miss it. 2005 5.3l 2wd. 4:10 rear long tubes cam valvetrain intake manifold stall. Awesome street truck.

Well here is why the lack of updates. Some old farmer decided to cross the highway as I was doing about 70mph. Still not sure if it's totaled or not.

That's no good. Hope everyone is alright. If it is totaled buy it back. I bought my 05 back for 1509 and sold everything off it for about 10k and that was giving the motor and a few other things away.
