In some cases it still flexes too much. My LLY went through several sets of motor and trans mounts, I double bolted mine and was still ripping trans mounts from it flexing. Put MA's on and no more trouble.
I did a lot of launches and burnouts or I may have never needed them.

Done a million launches and burnouts on my bolted stockers. Been in for 2 and and half years and now working just fine at 1000hp. When my motor was out 4 months ago, the mounts were still in perfect shape.

My stockers were never bolted and have seen better days. I figured if I'm going to replace them might as well upgrade. Just want to throw a bolted stocker and M/A mount in to save some coin and call it good.

That's why I was hoping to split the set with someone.

The engine mounts held, it was the transmission mounts I was still trashing. I had talked to Eric merchant and he said in some cases he saw the bolts fixed the engine mounts but still allowed enough flex to wear out the transmission mount. I asked about different trans mounts and he said I wouldn't need them with good motor mounts. Put MA's on and the trans mount held till I flodded the truck.

He's always gonna push his product. I personally like having the trans and engine being able to move just a little together.

The engine does get to move with Merchant Mounts. It will move about a 1/4". I personally really like them. With certain pipe routing etc they are beneficial since there isn't enough movement to cause leaks or pulling pipes apart.

don't install one on the passenger side, just hold onto it and see if someone ever wants to buy it. there will be a lot of vibration with 2.

I run both, the vibration is not bad. All of my boost pipes are v banded, the engine doesn't move around, I'm also running a poly Trans mount.

I ran 1 for years on my LLY with no problems. Truck went high 11's. I still have the other but it is being saved for another project.

So which side do you run the MA mount on and which side do you run the stock mount on? Also does anyone have any info on bolting the stocker?? I pulled my motor and both my mounts fell apart so I'm looking to replace them.

Put the MA mount on the driver side and bolt the stock one for the passenger side. I have a BNIB MA poly Trans mount if anyone is interested.

your truck must be tighter than mine. ive got 180k miles on it and when I put those mounts on I had tons of shit in the cab vibrating, and a couple pieces somewhere in the bumper area making noise as well. didn't bother me at first but got annoying after a while.

I'm under 100k mines. I don't want any flex in the engine bay due to everything being v banded. My setup is not the average setup on here, it's overkill for what it's used for. Doesn't get outing tune 1 very often. Lol
