Speedometer Quit??

Is anyone else having probs. with there speedometer? Mine quit working last night for some Damn reason. Today it is working but it looks like the Second hand on a Watch, and I think it's off a little. I wonder if these electronic Speedo's are capable of recording such Fast Acceleration and still hold up?:D

Blue's went out at like 31k.. I know it was covered under warranty.

mine has done that a couple time on start up, my whole cluster wont work, i did some researching and i guess when cranking if the batteries dont have enough juice then the ecm cuts power from things to get the motor started, and your cluster just has to be one of the items, if it is currently working i wouldnt worry about it, i do believe they are like 800 bucks

Thanks Travis. It works now it just doesn't move continuously, kinda studders a little..Screw it. I'll just add it to my things to fix, right under the Coolant Leak..

It could also be one of the modules. Need to put a Tech 2 on it or Matertech scanner and go into module status and clear all the codes in the modules.ed a few speedos by just clearing codes.

Thanks Mike, I wonder if this also has something to do with the Truck not wanting to start after it's Hot sometimes..It doesn't seem as bad now that i've been running Craigs Tune in it. But before I'd have to cycle the key a few times and it would finally start. I'll have to put the T2 on it and see what modules are actually bad i'm thinking a couple???

mines been off lately 5 -15 mph, this is based on what the gps says and the cars around me, but sometimes its dead on with the gps :confused:

Did you end up having to replace the cluster or is there another fix ?

Our dealership replaced it under warranty Larry. They said 100K?? Maybe give them a call.

Mine quit working last week and it looks like Blues cluster tight now, I need to take to the dealer and see if they can do anything for me, I am 78k

4 ways to get it fixed;
1) warranty Free
2) buy a new one 300-400
3) send it off to be repaired 120-140. Yes, you can still drive the truck, I did for a week.
4) Buy the parts and fix it yourself. Cheap. There is a DIY over at DP.

I was reading that but was scared about soldering on circuit boards. I solder all the time but never on circuit boards and I am terrified i am going to F it up
