Speedometer connection problem?

So I'm changing the LEDs in my speedometer, going from LED white to LED red and I find that one of the locations where the socket goes, the actual connection on the board has been scratched to death (guess from me removing them all the time) so the LED wont light I guess because of the scratched surface it has no connection?

Would soldering the surface with new solder work? Advice?

Adding new solder might work. If that fails, you could try and carefully scrape off some of the solder mask (green stuff over the traces), and solder to the now-exposed traces.
