sons drill help

Ok fellas, I need some electrical knowhow to fix my little guys drill...before I start, the only reason I'm posting this is because its in his hands constantly and quite working today, those of you with kids know how serious this is:thumb:

I just need to know what this is so I can run to radio shack and get a new one to solder in. Thanks in advance guys

Simple resistor, if ya google you should be able to find a code reader for getting what resistance it is. Otherwise, try using a DVM across the other resistor for the value. :thumb:

Looks like a wire wound resistor, different from the carbon composite types.

I remember working with that stuff in high school, making led patterns on circuit boards, cant remember anything about it tho...lol, cut me some.slack tho, 20 years later I'm surprised I even remember High School

Just take the drill down to rat shack with you, who cares what it is, you only need to find its twin:hug:

Make sure the replacement has the EXACT color parrten and colored lines, you'll be fine..

^^^ Coco nailed it. Take it to Radio shack with you and match it up...

I know the feeling, my little guys tiny remote control car broke and I had to pull it apart too, no fun when they are upset... hope you get it straightened out...
