So to start this off. I'm sure someone on here has done something like this before.
What I have done has spaced the turbo up 15mm might go 20mm. Reason I have done this is to try fit this s400 y bridge in. Now people will ask why I have done this, and due to the engine conversion this is going in it requires the top rad hose to run the other way as you can see by my photo holding the old pipe ad demonstration. So fitting a normal y bridge isn't really an option due to space requirements.

Now my question is for anyone that has raised there turbo what did you do about the oil drain and up pipes. Did you just bend the drain pipe down to fit (my concern is it will crack due to extra force and tension on the expansion joint) or am i better off making a flex line up to suit like the s400 kits use ?

For the up pipes would the expansion joints be fine for the misalignment or better off getting custom up pipes made to suit?

i wouldnt put the oil drain under any undo stress, it will most likely crack and its not easy to change. id make a spacer that goes under the turbo or at the mid plate and use longer bolts/studs. up pipes might work but they will probably be bound up as well, custom would be stronger.

personally i would run this kind of y-bridge for either LLY or LBZ depending on what clam shells you are running

then run a van thermostat housing, cut, turn, weld it and off you go. My radiator in my 02 is a dual pass so i had to convert to a pass side rad hose setup (nothing out there for that).

sorry for the late reply, reason i cant go out the front is due to how tight everything will be at the front.

currently making up a spacer for the oil drain, and most likely will get custom up pipes

What about using an LML van y-bridge? It comes out on the driver's side top of the bridge and has clearance for the turbo inlet.
