When your truck cycles the veins on the turbo? Reason I'm asking is I've heard the throaty lb7 (on a lly) tuning but it sounds nothing like the deep rumble when you hit throttle from a stop when its cycling...just curious

What % do the reach when cycling? Or am I asking the wrong question here? I played with the tables a while back but didn't know if I could replicate the exhaust tone
I'm not quite sure this is what you're asking, but the difference in sound when the vanes are open in both cases is due to load on the engine (in park vs in gear).

Ya I'm not being very clear..., itll idle wirh a normal tone in gear stopped...once you hear it cycle (whistle) and then give it a little throttle it let's of a very deep basey tone..just curious as to what is happening when that occures...I've played with the vein tables but can't replicate that tone

What do you have the max vain % set to ? Not commanded, but the max.
I had mine set to 2 instead of the factory 88 I believe. from 0-1000rpm and 0-10mm3.

I have the same issue, even though mine is set to 5 % at idle mine never open more then 30% maybe there is a table we don't have access to or something im not sure. but I know the LMM's that I have tuned have a better rumble then my LLY.
I haven't, even using DVT and opening them it wont go past 30 ill go out and try it now and see what it does.

DVT controls in efilive don't work for mine either. If you set the vane position all the way open it works then quits responding.
tried that even the max table mine still idles between 30-25 I logged it today and if I'm coasting and let all the way off it will goto 0% and then if I come to a stop it will go back up to 25% even though the max is at 5%
I was just playing with the min and max table...I'll log tomorrow but I suspect I'll see the same thing
the only other thing I was going to try was to lower the desired boost in the idle area and see if it was trying to make a small amount of boost and it would not let the vanes open up all the way.
