I've got a bad rattle in the front end. I thought it was shocks. But as part of my 200,000 mile service, I was changing the brake fluid.

My front calipers are LOOSE. I cant believe how loose they are.

thanks maxaholic.

lotsofmiles, i had the same thing on my car...turned out the pads sit a little loose in there. one of my mechanic friends said he uses a little silicone on the back of the outer pad. worked like a charm.
not saying that's what your problem is, but look into it.

so for another beer how do I fix it?

New bolts for the calipers?

As little as I use the brakes I bet I could just take them off...

 glad thats all it was.
your pads may be worn...so check them if you haven't checked them already. also, the rotors have a measurement stamped on them for thickness, mic them and see if they have enough "meat" left.

if you change your pads, get your rotors turned. sorry for the edits...it's early and i was still thinking pads are loose.
the bolts are the only real thing that holds the caliper on, so definitely check those. check the hubs for play too...and/or groves on the caliper brackets/rotors.
