We found this today on a "fresh rebuilt" motor plus the miss timed cam & pump and missing slinger on the rear main!

I was a "machine shop". The truck is a repo from our leasing company corporate sister, the rocket scientist manager there decided to take it to some "good guys" to "save money", now we have the whole thing back apart. This isn't a first either.

We got the head off and found this. Who needs fly cuts when you can just use the valves?!

I have a buddy that wanted us to build him a blown sbc so we bought all the parts and im talkin forged crank hbeam rods pistons studs the works. And then he tells us that his dad did not trust us so he took it to his dads buddy to be built which was fine we hadnt put much work into it besides specing and ordering parts. Well the day he picked it up from his dads buddy he brings it over cause it is running like shit so we take it out for a drive and its blowing colant out the over flow. So he throws me the keys and say fix it well we go to pull the heads and theres no studs just bolts and honest to god I was able to remove every one of the bolts with one hand. Long story short the guy had not put any of the parts we bought into the motor just some random used shit and I dont think there was one tight nut or bolt on the thing. Worse part was he paid the guy 2 grand to assemble it.
