Socal valve spring install

So I'm replacing the factory valve springs with the socal springs and had a quick question I haven't been able to find the answer for, the factory spring seat plates do they have to be removed or do the socal pieces sit on top of them if so I'm guessing ima need all new valve seals to to get these off?

Those plates stop the spring from rubbing throw the aluminum head

Yeah I know that but the socal springs come with there own spring base plate so I wasn't sure it the stock ones had to be removed to use these or not
