Hello all, I dont post very often on this forum but i do do a lot of reading as the information floating around on here is over my head. Ive been a member of this forum for a while and I have some questions for anyone who has ever visited Socal or had any work done by them. I got back into school about a year and a half ago studying mechanical engineering. For my strength of materials class i have a homework assignment to write a paper about a manufacturing material/company/ or process so I chose to write mine about socal, because I hear a lot about the products they produce from magazines/forums. I visited the socal homepage and got a lot of quality info about them. One of the topics I have to cover as the question reads: What size are they/it (people, facilities, and financial). I found a lot of info about the machinery they have but nothing about how big the facility is or the number of employees. Another topic of discussion is: What type of career opportunities do they offer for engineers?, but I figure that one is probably going to be pretty tricky. I also plan on calling them. To the mods, if this thread needs moved or whatever since it has to do with a vendor please do, hopefully this is allowed? Thanks in advanced to anyone who can help me out.

I can't help you with whats more than what you have already. Being in Ohio I have never been there and probably won't visit unless I hit the lottery and make a vacation out of it. Talking to Guy over the phone once and a while, he's layed back type of person, great to carry on a conversation with. Very helpful person as well.

Why dont you just call Guy himself and ask? He is a very nice man and easy to talk to. That way you arent getting second-hand or erroneous information.
X10. Great person to work with. I have been working with him for many years and at a high volume and I have had only great experiences. I have visited his place and was amazed at the high quality staff and equipment. Give him a call for more info, you made a great choice in using this company for your assignment. I have not dealt with a more honest, upstanding company or person.
I couldn't agree more with everyone! I stopped by to visit last summer. We showed up on a Friday evening maybe an hour before they closed. 3 hours later we were leaving when Guy said he best go, his wife would be waiting to eat dinner! He gave us a complete tour, put a head on the flow bench to show us how it worked, and allowed us to pick his brain. Guy never acted like he was in a hurry to leave or had an issue staying late talking to us. He even made sure we knew where we were going and told us some good restaurants to go to for dinner!
X1million:thumb: He is awesome, always answers all your questions and never seems like he has to get off the phone when you call. Top Notch business man. If you do call him try early when they first open as he does get busy fast!!
