There are more then 3, if you call SoCal they are a huge help and will help pic. They will not disclose cam lift and duration specs. I was using a 6460 standard firing order then when I changed pistons and engine setup went with a 6480 alt fire. I really like the one I have now.
The 3388 is labeled as a tow/street cam, the 6480 is more of a street/strip (which i think is where 99% of the built engines fall into this category), and the 9100 is a comp cam.
Both the 6480 and 9100 require valve reliefs while the 3388 does not.
Is there much to be gained with the 3388 over stock??? I have no plans on building a motor but have thought about a 3388AF to help prevent a broken crank.
They have a 8410 camshaft as well. It was a special grind made fir me. I have ran it and now have a 9100 Af. When their camshaft descriptions are done they read that way for a reason. The 9100 is agressive and has quite a bit if overlap. For street use I would go with the 6480 or 8410. The 8410 is next to their biggest camshaft. It has great street manners and makes outstanding power. I have dy nm I runs with that camshaft with zero hp drop at 4500 Rpm.
