For what it's worth, I've got an AirDog 150 going on next week. I've been logging WOT runs on PPE Hot+2 level 6 and can't hold rail pressure. Drops to 10K-13K. I know I've probably got HPRV issues, also. But I'll do some empirical testing and log after the pump, then after the new RV work, and then if necessary after a new PPE pick up, and post results.

IMO

Large Pickup -> High Vol, Low Press Lift Pump near tank -> Filter -> High Pressure Pump -> Big line to engine compartment -> boost compensating bypass regulator under hood -> optional OEM filter -> CP3

But what do I know.

This is funny, after talking to you so much we never covered this. What I am doing is the line in the bottom of the tank, through a filter/water separater to the Kennedy twins through the FICM to a cooler block then to a 1792 then into the CP3. I had all the parts to do it up there & just had too much fun. Man I was hurting Friday morning :cool2:

Did you ever do this set-up Todd?

How did it work out if so?

Yes kind of. My current set is as follows. #16 AM fitting in bottom of tank That "T's" with the normal pick up, then goes into the Water seperator/fuel filter where a nicktane is located, then to the 1792, then to the relocated FICM, to CP3. Works great. I am changing it based on fuel temps from the FICM. I am going back to my dual Kennedys as they are MUCH quieter & removing the fuel from the FICM, we are going to cool the FICM with a heatsink & fan instead. My computer nerd & I believe that after relocation of it the temps have dropped drastically & the heatsink will keep it cooler then it was before it was relocated.

Interesting......
I like that idea very much! I hope it works.

I run the fuel directly into the CP3s and then the "CP3 returns" are routed through the FICM and back to the cooler/tank.

so the FICM doesnt mind not having fuel flow into it, it just needs return? hmm. I thought Super diesel tried this and it didn't really gain anything?

Not sure how measurable the gain is but not have heated fuel returning or entering the engine can not be bad. Do not think it will be a SOTP mod but after you add up fractions, they add up.

We are running a pump with adjustable pressure, an aftermarket fuel filter, no OEM filter, and 15 Psi at the inlet pressure on the CP3.... how is a bigger line going to get fuel through the CP3 faster? That is still my question.

You are correct, good luck getting everyone to believe you.
