Like the title says, I thought this was pretty neat, worth sharing, easy and cheap

Looks like a regular old dispensed .45 shell, right, your wondering WTF does this have to do with a truck.....

. Now it's a valve stem cap:D

I noticed that the ID of the shell was about the same size as the standard chromie cap, so I checked it out, and whataya know, it was a perfect fit, so after shooting I came home and put some translucent yellow 2stg 5min epoxy in the powder area of one of the shells, mixed it good and let it sit, now i took the chromie off and wrapped the valve stem where it was not covered by the cap with blue tape, during the taping time i was letting the epoxy set up till the shell casing was getting hot and the epoxy was more like a gel than a liquid, at this time I slipped the shell over the chromie that I re-threaded onto the valve stem and then I let it set up for about 10min, then I unscrewed them, and it worked like a charm! Just how I wanted:D

I will post a pic tomorrow when my wheels are clean:eek: but I think it looks pretty damn cool, and it's a really cheap little aesthetic mod that not allot of people will have, well, at least for a while:roflmao:

This little process doesnt take long. After the first "trial run" I got the other three done in about 20min

BTW, it's kinda hard to tell in the pic, but the shell casing is stainless steel and shiny like chrome, it looks really cool against the black wheel, and I also have little machined accents on the lip of the rim that closely resemble the end of a center fire shell:thumb:

That's what caught my attention in the first place, I was looking at a shell in my hand standing by my truck, and I said to myself, wow, those accents on the rim look the the end of this bullet, so I held it up to the rim and then noticed the valve stem cap was about the same size as the ID of the shell, and here we are
