I lost one of my keyless entry pads.

Does anyone know if you can get replacements from GM? What are they worth if so?

Thanks

Pretty sure you can get them from GM. You can find them on E-bay also, they just have to be programmed for your truck.

I had the same problem with my old truck. 2002 1/2 tom z-71 and I got one from the dealer for 68 bucks:mad: They did have different code numbers and part numbers for my truck at that time. Thats why I had to got to dealer and the reprogram if I remember was in the operators manual.

If its anything like my Camaro you have to turn the ignition off and on a number times in a sequence & open and close the drivers door. Once its in the learn mode you can add the new transmitter, I had to also add back in the existing transmitter because the sequence clears all of them.

You don't need a tech2 to program the fobs. I got my dad new ones for christmas because he lost his.

It takes 2 minutes to program them. :)

1. Close all vehicle doors.

2. Insert the key into the ignition.

3. Hold down the power UNLOCK button on the driver’s door panel-continue to hold
down until instructed to release in step 9.

4. Perform steps 5 through 8 in fairly rapid succession.

5. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the
engine).

6. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

7. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

8. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

9. Release the power unlock button on the door panel. The vehicle will lock and unlock
the doors automatically.

10. Hold down the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter simultaneously until
the door locks and unlocks.
This step may take up to 30 seconds.

11. Repeat step 10 NOW for each additional transmitter (including any existing
transmitters).

12. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position in order to exit the transmitter programming
mode.

Hmmm, I had to have the dealer use a Tech 2 to program my 05 Tahoe remote. I watched him, but dont quite remember the exact reason it was needed but it was in my case.
