What's the best year round stock (245/75) for plowing snow? I dont want to listen to them either. Truck does alot of highway too, so I dont want a headache.

Firestone Transforce a/t. I have alot of snow removal equipment amd we run all the trucks with those tires. They wear nice, not loud and bite really well in snow. Otherwise the revos, geolanders, or pro grades are in that order. Revos and pro grades are almost same bite in snow. Imo

Studs are not needed for anything but sleds are quads. Add weight to the truck, wether it be salt and salter or weight over rear axles. 50% of our trucks are 2wd even and our 4x4 trucks hardly ever use it. Knowing what u are doin helps.

Firestone's get my vote. My Buddy Paul has them on his 07 classic crew cab, I took it last winter in a snow storm to go rescue another guy and I was really impressed with how much effort it took to loose traction, when I wasn't trying to spin tires it was sure footed and undoubtedly the best tire I have driven in the snow with. He has 285-70-17's on it.

You guys plow with 2wd?.

My work dries up in winter, didn't think plowing would be an option with my 2wd
