Snow Flake will be going to the dealer next week sometime for tranny issues. I have been reviewing the videos of my pulls vs everyone else. I think i see where my problem is. From what i can see its ground speed. I have based this decision on Sean truck tnr green truck and Steve's truck. With the Mickey Thompson mtz which on edit is a great tire. I am not able to get the sled moving fast enough to help me have a little help right around half track. Well today i hope i solved the problem:D. I called up Bobby from cope custom 4X4 and i am going to get a set of 35 14.00 r16 boggers with a set of Black steel rims. I believe he is also going to built me a set of traction bars which i believe will be a awesome help for my truck. So hopefully the next time u see a video of the snow flake u will be asking your self well where did the sled go?

O and i forgot to mention i will be getting the torsion keys which i think will lift the truck high enough. If not i will go with a fabtech 4 inch lift or maybe a small body lift.

All these trucks are 4x4, right?

You'll never be able to get the sled moving as fast as them. I think it's great that you are putting this much effort into making your truck a puller, but it's never going to be as competitive as the 4x4's are.

I do think once you get the trans done, you could have a pretty fun drag truck with some slicks/drag radials.

I know what u mean diesel pilot but i would like to try this out and maybe make people look at a 2wd duramax differntly

Not to rain on your parade but I dont think pulling a 2wd truck is smart. You plan on breaking more parts than a 4wd? How often is the Dealership going to fix a stock transmission? Im not trying to be a prick just repeating what most are thinking. Trade it in and get a 4wd :D

I do need a 4x4 put i am about to purchase a cummins thats a 4x4 so thats all i need. I don't think i will break all that much of stuff. Which i have been wrong before. The reason i say that is because we are pulling on clay which is still a pretty hard ground but I'm able to keep the tires kicking 1st and 2nd. I am having no problems getting it out of the whole. As far as the dealer goes i wish my brother would make up his danm mine. He says the hell with the dealership hes going to buy the extreme rebuilt kit with a torque converter.

On a side not my buddy just picked up a 02 6 speed dodge cummins ext cab long bed 12,000 miles on it and he payed 9,000 for it. U talking about being at the right place at the right time

you mean 1,012,000 miles?

why go bigger tire?

you need smaller OD tires to give you a better overall ratio or else drop down to 4.56 or 4.88 gears.
