so whats the secret to making a good hp tune smoke less. ? is it simply dialing down the fueling to a balancing point of power vs. wasted fuel? or is there somethin else that is added. i dont want to lose any hp but i also want to tone down the smoke..

It's going to be pretty much impossible to make a max effort tune smoke free if you're running a stock turbo and fuel only.

Yeah it's while racing I am concerned with some backwoods sled pulling events strictly judge a trucks mods by the amount of smoke it produces

I would agree more pressure brought in quicker and combined with less pulse width would make for a tune that should produce less smoke and would be more responsive. Everything is relative to what you are doing now though.

On my stock turbo LLY ive got it to about a slight haze at WOT in some cells it will puff a little black but it goes away fast. There is just not enough resolution in the stock tables when you have a tune with double pulsewidth and almost double boost and the maf is getting maxed out, there is just not enough higher airflow cells to get fueling where it needs to be.
