My nieghbor bought a newer 6.7 cumminGs and has been pestering me about a tuner.

Ive heard Smarty was the best Doodge tuner out there, am i right?

He has a stock 6 speed auto and will be ditching the DPF.

So should i tell him to get the smarty?

Any one here have a good price on one?

He's still gonna see my tailights!!!:coal:

Smarty is the king right now....it's adjustability is pretty much unmatched by anything else available right now.

One of my buddies has an 07 5.9 CR cummins and the Smarty works well on it. Don't know about the 6.7s.

The hot setup around here for the 03-07 5.9 CRs is the Smarty-TST stack. I don't know if that takes the "2K and fall on its face cumminGs thing" away though.

on edit...Smarty also offers an adjust on the fly tuner.

Ive told him that several times. His truck has dpf delete and the edge that is all. It has ate two trannys both times completely fried all the clutchs. Either he has a lemon or those trannys are very weak.

I believe Smarty warns against using anything over level 3 on a stock trans.
Level 9 with the torque management on 4 and rail pressure cranked up will literally fry it in 1 pass.....not kidding.

iirc level 3 is the recommended limit for the stock trans...could be wrong though.

The new "on-command" Smarty is adjustable...the way I understand it is that you can run any percentage of any tune. You load one tune then adjust the percentage...say 30% of level 4. I believe it to be similar to a DSP5.

On edit...that guy beat me to it.

My buddy has the edge w/ the hot unlock which I think is 100hp and it absolutly fried his shit. I would keep it around 45hp over stock.

Is there anything that can be done to the valve body to raise line pressure? I hear they have something like 40psi stock??

ATS has fully built trans that are available to the public already. The new Smarty has some issues but Bob is aware of these and Marco is working on them with a few people. Right now, there is nothing better than a smarty for a cummins.

I wonder if any of these can be used in a Med Duty application with an Allison? It sure would be nice to erase that speed limiter....
