Slow TCC ramp up

What causes Slow ramp up of the duty cycle? Normally When cruising I will get a ramp up of 14.5>20>28>65.5

But some cases I will literally get 13>14>15>16 etc. all the up to 65.5, and when that happens I get TC slip even when at 65.5 duty cycle.

Doesn't matter who built it so don't even ask that or for a log and then decide not to help after weazeling info. You know who you are :thumb:

Just looking for a simple answer as to what causes slow ramp up. If you want I can post a screen shot of a log if that would help, but only if that is neccessary to diagnose.

ML TC, Stock TCM tune. I do not know what was done to that.

The weird thing is that I only get funny ramp up after I do a boost launch and run it hard. If I restart the truck after all is fine and normal again


Is there a table that will give it a slow ramp up if something out of the ordinary happens or something like that ?

Check out table D5072. I doubt it is your problem, but it might have something to do with it.

I will look at that when I'm on the other computer. Forgot to say though, the TC locks fine when I boost launch it. Only after I let off and slow down is when I start gettin the funny lockup.

I looked at it. I don't really know what I'm looking at though. Like I said it is a stock TCM tune.


What do you suggest I run? I'm pretty sure most people run a stock trans tune..


Well in a stock TCM there are limiting factors. Josh just posted the table for you to look at:) heck it out ,if it still dont make sense what you need to do then contact a tuner.

I have no idea how many guys run stock tunes? But since EFI allowed TCM acess i was in like flinn:D
