Went to the track today and it sucked. First pass was a 13.003 at 102mph or so. Just got worse from there. I was having problems maintaining rail pressure, but also noticed the truck just wasnt pulling for crap. Logged the trans and the converter never actually locks....or im slipping the crap out of it.

Race weight according to the scales was 7,360lbs. I didnt have the truck setup at all, never 60 footed better than 1.89 and the truck jumped all over the place on launch. It was a last minute rush out the door thing so I didnt have time to lower the torsion bars, clamp the springs or any of that jazz. So im not really mad that my times sucked, but I am getting frustrated with this converter. Because even with my crappy truck prep/setup I still would have been high 12's if I had a solidly locked converter.

My entire runs I never dropped below 3,000rpm once I launched due to the converter. At the very end of the run, about 105mph or so on my log, it was still slipping 250rpm. Between 75mph and 90mph in 4th gear was the closest it ever came to being locked, at 50-100rpm of slip. Hmm. No wonder my truck is so slow for having Dipper injectors and S480 twins...

Ben it seems like the 1057 wasn't quite cut out for bigger power trucks. Unfortunately it looks like your converter is slipping to me, but i'm sure others will
chime in that know more than I.

Looks like you were fighting two problems huh Ben. Have you had problems with the 1057 not locking before?
