i know there have been many of threads on slick . i figured i would revisit because i am in the market for a set and figured a few more people might have opinions after a while . the M&H 28" i was suposed to buy from dimitri fell through . these are what i have been looking at ... i am going to go 17" because i have wheels 17X9's , though i know 16" would be better for weight but either would be way less than my 20"s i run now.

i think casper is running them in the 16" version .

i am considering these as well . not shure on what would be too wide... in the 17" i have 10" , 12" , and 14" to chose from , but my concern is if i go with a 28" tall vs the 30" i will out grow the 28"s shortly after my motor is built .

thanks Kat , looks very close to the ones i am getting , like i said i already have 17" wheels . how does the width do , did you lose any mph ?

Tread width on the ground is 11 inches. No rubbing even when bars are all the way down. 60s are at 1.7s I'm pretty sure I can get 1.6s if i launch harder.

thanks for the info

here is a vid of the ones i am ordering

I would use these http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip.php?item=ETStreetRadialII The 305/45/18's are what I run.

They are suppose to be better than my Nitto's and I've cut a 1.60 60' with my LMM using the Nitto's.

i have been kicking around the idea of some 18's thats what i really want . i want the truck to look good and go fast ... didnt want to buy wheels but i just checked discount and i can get wheels and the nitto's for only a couple hundred more than just the 17" slicks ....... hummmmm :baby:

These are what I run. I run the 16s because of the weight like you said. Extremely light.

I ran these a few times and then sold them. The side wall is very soft, and I've heard of failures while running on trucks. Be careful and tear them down at times to make sure they are still in good shape.

The M & H nostalgia slicks are made for heavier cars and seem to work better. I'll still tear them down to check condititon periodically.
