Site move cancelled

Well thanks to the morons at earthlink (my ISP) I had to cancel the move of the site to the new server for today. I suddenly started having connections problems moving the database. If I can't get something straightened out with them I'm going to see if I can use a friends connection tomorrow who is not on earthlink.

Everything was going good and then it stopped dead. I ping the server from my computer at work (through a VPN connection) but from home I can't even ping it. The tech that I talked to couldn't either and then tried to tell me it was my IE settings (that stopped him???), funny thing is I use Firefox.

I hate earthlink.

Well now I'm on TimeWarner. I was able to go down and pickup one of their self-install kits. So tomorrow morning we'll try again.

It seemed to be going well then bam, I couldn't do anything. I'm now able to get back on the new site and I have the database cleaned up from the failure. So I'll getting up early and trying again. Hope this one goes as well as the test I did last week.
