I have a few options of tires in a mid low 700 horse class. Wondering if a 35 single may be better than 33 dual bfg with sts up front will be better or worse than new 35 single bfgs. Got some 33 xtrarrins too. Hooking in central ky. Could someone set up a poll? I think most competition will be running 35 inch duallys. I can't decide if running duallys will be too much traction or not.

That's what I was thinking Caleb. Everyone's gonna be running duals I think, most were in the stock turbo class. Im hoping to dig down and get traction on the looser tracks and trying to not break on the tight tracks. And advice on gearing?

If Im staying stock gearing should I stay with the 33? I was thinking maybe 35s this year as long as I stay with a srw. hoping for more than 750 horse, but have no idea where i will really be. i can only remember 1 or 2 loose/wet tracks this year, they pack these clay ones pretty tight around here. also gonna have a 24 inch hitch verus 26.

Never thought about that to that extent. It will also have the extra weight of the tire to spin, and thinking maybe a single will find traction on a loose track while the duals float across. Tough decision lol

Are you going with duals next year?

At that HP... stock gearing, 35s, start in 3rd and lock up by 50ft and hope your turbo/cam setup likes RPMs as you wind up 3rd going down the track. :D Hopefully won't even have to unlock at the end she'll be so wound up! :woott: Find some videos of Ben Jefferson's truck a couple 2-3 years ago. ;) Much more HP than that and you'll probably have to do a gear swap because you'll be gear bound in 3rd but not quite enough beans to go 4th regularly.

Otherwise, I'd go 33" duals. For most tracks in KY, the added traction will be nice to have versus the occasional slick track where duals might not be as favorable.
