ShurTrax truck traction

Has anybody run one of these in the bed for a little extra traction when racing? Seems safer than sand or cement.

It looks like a giant sandbag? For $140?

600lbs of sandbags at Lowes was $48, 800lbs of black dirt (many uses afterward) was about $25.

I dont know if spreading the weight out in the bed is a good idea for pulling (you want it far forward, dont you?), and as for dragracing...isnt the whole point is to get lighter?

I don't really have many options to weight up when pulling. I put the bag as far forward as possible. Our pulls don't allow hanging weight unless it's oulaw classes.
I thought the same about the racing; maybe a tire pressure issue ??

The truck we put the bag in is a long bed an it only weighs 5610lbs, it is a traction issue because the tail ends weighs next to nothing so we bought one of theese to give it a shot.

Old tractor or big truck tire tube's work great for putting sand in. You just cut it to the width of your bed and then tie the one end and fill it with sand and then tie the other end. It works really good and will stay up at the fron of your box with no sliding around.
