Spoiled the truck a bit today. Got a set of Pro Comp wheels and Hankook tires. Also Changed the front and rear diff fluids, T case fluid, and spin on. Also gave her a quick bath.

Thanks guys, winter's still like a month away:D Pro Comp said they're powder coated for extreme environments, so we'll see. I might pull them off for the winter, but I'm not sure. They are 17x8 with 265/70 17.

My 2006 LBZ Build Thread

I figured I would make a build thread as a way to motivate myself...

The truck is a 2006 Silverado 2500HD CC/SB. I bought it new in May 2006. It now has about 130 000 km. I haven't driven it regularly since 2011, in the last 2 years or so I've only put on about 3000km. The big issues that need to be taken care of are the brakes (need new hard lines and front wheel speed sensors), a coolant leak from the small plate on the back pass. side of the motor, and a new block heater cord.

It has a few basic mods already: S&B intake, MBRP exhaust, PPE Hot +2 ET, and a built trans. The rest of the mods are listed in my garage. Here's how it sits:

truck looks sad just parked there...... what are you going to do to it? motor?

It does:(

I guess I should have mentioned some of my plans:
- New brake hard lines, stainless braided lines, pads and rotors
- Fix the coolant leak and block heater
- Touch up the rock chips and give it a clay bar and wax
- Maybe a box cover, roll pan and Reflexxion hood
- As for the motor I'm trying to decide between twins (S475/stock vvt) or maybe a Danville VVT, lift pump, and EFI Live (I have it, just haven't used it yet)

That's the big stuff anyway. Progress will be delayed since I don't have a shop and have to work on it outside.

Hey everyone, so I haven't been on for a while. I bought a house this summer (whole other set of problems :( ) Now I have a place indoors to work on my truck. Right now I'm just getting settled in, but the plan is to dig out the DMax from it's semi-final resting place and get it over to the new place.
Right now the big plans are to get EFI Live set up on it and try out that new Danville VVT. Brakes still need to get sorted out and my fuel level sender is bad, so I might as well update the fuel system. It never ends.
