Ive had my SCIII for about 5k and its been doing the 3-4 double shift thing. I put in a 2001os to see what would happen today and its still doing it. So should I be worried about it or is it normal. On efilive its showing the on coming clutch start to come off then the off going clutch comes on a little then goes off, then the on clutch kind of sits there at 60-70psi for about half a second or more?

Tim Moye Transmissions did it in Tampa, FL. As far as I know its just a regular SC III with a 1056. I going to try to call him and ask him about it too.

Take it in to him if you can. There all good guys there that stand behind there work. I believe he gives a 2 year uncoditional warranty on em when he does em as well.

the installer is the most important piece of an Allison build... it should not be "double" shifting

I don't know if its double shifting, thats just what ive heard it called before. I think its doing the same thing that happens to other sc trans on the 3-4 shift.

Is this in normal shift mode or tow/haul? That double shift could be tc lock-up. With the stage three kit you don't replace the valve body. Do you?

The converter remains locked through the shift. Highlighting the area it takes 1.383 seconds from the time the shift is commanded to the time it registers 4th gear.

From the logs it looks like it starts to release the on clutch and the off clutch comes on a little then goes off but the on clutch stays at low pressure?

I don't really know anything about transmissions except that its hard to believe that they acutally work the way they do.

I can't really decribe what it feels like but it dosent feel like a hard shift but it still feels like something is not timed right.

If you look at the on clutch it starts releasing then the off clutch comes on a little then goes off, but then the on clutch starts to increase pressure then pressure goes back down again. I wonder if this is the problem.

I know efi dosent have any capabilities to really see whats going on in the trans but this looks wierd.

good thing I know a few dodge guys that have been back time after time after time to fix non working stuff. Maybe it's just customers making the shop look bad. I know one guy that loves his

So if the on clutch pressure starts to drop and the off clutch pressure starts to come on, but the on clutch comes back on with full pressure while the off clutch is still on, is this a tie up? Or is it a lot more complicated than that?
