Hi huys, not sure where i am suppose to post this.
Been part of this site for a while and have been learning a lot like crazy about the diesel sport, i have done a fair amount of work to my lb7 and have lots of knowledge/ experience with powerstroke 7.3/6.0 and the 6.7 ( not so much on the 6.4, idk if i want to lol) and also the cummins engines.

i am possibly looking to start a shop, nothing to crazy but would like to offer another option to my area for diesel work. I really would like to offer diesel performance in a reliable way, when i mean reliable, l mean like push them to do step by step builds, talk them out of paying me to slap on a big tune on there stock truck, even a tune that i think will drain the rail if they dont have a lift pump. Things like that state, i feel the diesel community thinks that they can just buy what ever and throw a big bad canned tuner on it, blow alot of smoke, break the truck and then scare away alot of other people because they talk about the 1000's of dollars they have lost due to their own stupidity but have not been educated on what they have actually done.

i have done a few head gaskets jobs, injectors, transmissions, rebuilding of the transfers case, rear ends and front ends and are looking to invest into a 2 bay garage but have a few questions for the ones who have done this.

I always have wondered what kind of insurance do you guys have to carry?

What do you do if a customer comes to you and asks you to make there truck make lets say 700hp / has all the necessities like studs, pump and so on but they lets say need a new turbo and are looking for the turbo to supply them with enough air to reach that 700hp goal and the second it leaves the shop and they go out and romp on it that the engine lets go? or anything major in that case?

I know you can notify the customer that at any time you mod something it can fail prematurely but still, worried about them coming back at me blaming it on me that they need to spend another crazy amount of money on their vehicle to get there vehicle up and running again.

Idk if this is too much info for one to pass on, just looking for some opinions and a little guidance as i have never done this before.

Thanks
