I am slowly assembling my parts for a 2wd drag truck. While the truck doesn't have a motor in it I figured it was a good time to invest in some new shocks. It will be street driven so I do want some comfort. I am looking at Rancho 9000's all the way around.

Thoughts, comments, concerns?

The Rancho 9000's are 9 position adjustable shocks so you can dial them in better. If I where to spend the money on QA1's I would go to coils in the front but will hold off on that for now. But this will still be on a budget and won't be a drag only truck.

Yeah maybe next year I could do coil overs but this year I just want to get the truck on the road. Maybe I'll just not worry about front shocks and just get some for the back.

The only thing wrong with Ranchos, I have researched shocks between companies and Rancho doesn't publish their shock rates, "secret" I believe the Monroe doesn't either. I can't remember. I am probably going to look through Gabriel's Fleetline shocks because they show jounce and rebound rates but the bolts are larger. The only problem is making the brackets for regular vehicles.

Just slap a decent shock on and pick your better choice later. Keep your tires from becoming cupped.

I wouldn't put ranchos on my worst enemy's truck, they suck that bad in comparison to other offerings. The fronts are worse than the rears. Too bad though, they use to be decent.

I sold Kory my old double adjustable front QA1's and single rears for his 2wd and it dropped his 60' quite a bit and stayed more consistent too.

I actually just ordered another set for my truck.

I used to be a die hard Bilstien guy. Then I tried a set of Rancho 9000XL's all around. I'm sold. My only question is the longevity of the adjusters. I try to keep them clean and lubricated to prevent freezing. So far so good.

Also interested in the qa1s. Debating on coil overs or a good dual adjustable.. leaning towards coilovers right now
