What controls shifting points?? Is it based on engine speed, throttle position, TCM only... what??

In T/H, it looks like the shift when driving "normal" used to happen @ 2500rpm.... Lately, it seems to be about 2200. Would a sloppy converter cause this??

Curiousity only.... Thanks

I think the "Tire Revolutions Per Mile" table (H0136) plays a part in it too. My truck used to shift into 5th at around 65 (I'm pretty sure this was the case with the OS I'm running now with no changes; I KNOW one of the "older OSes I ran did this). I changed that table to match what Toyo says the revs per mile is for my tires and it shifts to 5th around 55 now.
