Shift Points & Defuel

With the discussions about shift points and defuel going around, I had a thought this morning. When you change from a 04/05 LLY TCM OS to one of the 01/02 OSes, since the shift points are different, especially in T/H, do you need to adjust the defuel or change the shift points in the TCM to the 04/05 points in order to get the best shifts?

Im wondering the same thing, does the shift points effect defuel? I moved my shift points up to more like the stock shift points and my shifts feel less defuely. They don't feel like they stop and then start the truck again.

X3 on this, I use an 02 TCM, normal is fine, could use a little refining, but tow/haul is wild.

What about the torque tables in the TCM? Do you have to change those to match your ECM tune some how?

why do you use an 02 over an 01

I can't speak for A_T_Ver, but I'm using an 02 OS as well since it's the only one I've found that has both ODLO and LLY Winter Elevated idle. If you know where I can get an 01 OS with the same features, I'd be interested in it.

You have to run a separate wire to make the ODLO switch work, i have not done this but I have been told it is quite simple. Elevated Idle i am not sure but IIRC there are some 01 TCM's with it built in where others are not. Shoot duratothemax a PM he might be able to help you out.

Already done the wire and LED. The problem is of the 01 OSes I have tried, some had ODLO, and some had the Winter Elevated idle, none had both.

why do you use an 02 over an 01

I was going to for use of ODLO as Cougar said. I just haven't got around to adding the wire yet. I may reflash the 01 back in. I have no reason to lock out O/D.
