Getting a shift inhibited on my 08, replaced spin on and dropped pan fluid and refilled in between hour and cold @120deg. Better but still doing it, took it to gmc and they said 4qts low, hmmm, said ok, drive it 5 and all at once it blew fluid everywhere out the top vent, now about two qts low, took back to gmc and hav then the what for. They called yesterday afternoon and said its been run hot and burnt up clutches and they want to replace with new since its nit with rebuilding an allison, their words, not mine, seems strange. Wondering what my best options are? I'll get the code #s from then when i talk to then again.

They're just lost and figure if they replace everything, it should work fine. Doesn't always work that way.

I know its tough over a screen, but what's your thoughts, they're standing by is been hot because it was so low on fluid, not buying, told them we'd pick it up and get a different opinion

I would go after the P0701 code first ( no pressure ). The rest might go away after that is fixed. 701 can occur because of a cracked sump filter, short filter in a deep pan, or low fluid.
