Maybe new maybe not... but at $648.00 plus freight for a 55 gallon drum sure is expensive to tryout. If anyone's interested in splitting it let me know

I know a few tractor guys running Scheid fuel, makes more power hands down, but makes a pile of heat as well...... Cenpeco makes some nice additive as well. i belive the "outlaw" additve is what you wanna look for.

And you think nitrous is cheating

Nitrous and fuel are two different breeds. And no race fuel is not cheating and nitrous is not cheating but don't compare them. Nitrous is like having another turbo but in a bottle when ever you want it but limited to the size bottle you have and pressure that's in it. The fuel will run the same aslong as it's well full no pressure to deal with.

I can give you some in site on The Shell and Syn Diesel fuels. Both are made from Natural Gas instead of crude oil bases. Honestly your not going to see any huge improvements in power. Depending on the pump fuel you use you may not see a difference at all. US pump diesel is very good. The US is very strict about fuels which means a better quality fuel then you will get out of the US.

The big advantage to the Shell and Syn Diesel IMHO is the shelf life. Plain old pump diesel has a shelf life of around 12 months. Shell and Syn Diesels have a much longer shelf life.

X2 there is not much of a gain from it. As for power for money, its even worse...

IIRC Pat even did a test on some of these fuels a couple years ago and the results didnt seem all that great.

Keep us updated Nick, good to see people actually searching alternatives and things are always being improved. You might see better results than what was a year or 2 ago.
