setting valve lash

im not sure if this is where this should go,so move if needed

setting lash on a lly/lbz i have a tick on the driver side of the engine,i wanna know if anyone has done it with just removing the upper valve cover?? plz plz dont tell me i have to take the lower cover off to! because that means injectors has to come out!

thanks for the read. . .not to sound like a ass but i know how to do it,i guess i was told wrong on the lash. i never tried to do it with the lower cover on is all. tryin to get ready for the pull firday. battle of the bluegrass super pull,down in lexington,ky

Sorry i should have quoted redbowtie since i dug it up for him just to give him an idea of how hard it was.

Typically exhaust side items run warmer than intake side items. I felt it might help make them a little more equal. Also one of the big time engine builders also recommended it too.

like i stated i was told factory was 0.14,from a rep out in ca. should of dubble checked it,but i didnt,next time i will!!!!!!!!!!

Id be curious who told you .014". Every service document and engineering paper ever written on the duramax says .012" for both the intake and exhaust.
