LB7: service tire moniter???

i put new door pannels from an 05 tahoe into my truck cause they had the heated seat butons and i got seats i while back that i was gonna make work. but all i did was put the new pannels in and plugged in the harrnesses..and now the dic screen says service tire moniter. my truck doesnt even have a tire moniter. would the door pannels do that? also there was a light that comes on in the dash cluster and then turns off when you start it, it kinda looks like the traction control light but its not. please help

Must be something with the BCM. I would guess that a wire used in the tahoe harness is different than what it is used for in the truck harness. You'll have to sit down with the shcematic and look at the connectors man. You might end up having to rewire the connectors

every thing looks the same execp i got the heated moduel pluged in now.

when i scan my truck with EFI live it comes up with the code that all 4 tire sensors are not working. that leads me to believe that the program is in the bcm but not used in are trucks. not sure if this helps just my :2cents:

Did you take your truck to the dealer to get the BCM updated for the new module?
If not you screwing with its little mind. Take it to the dealer for a BCM update.

no its because the tire pressure receiver is in the PDM on the GMT-800 trucks. So when you swapped door panels (and swapped PDM's), the PDM you plugged in was configured for TPMS...so when the PDM didnt see the signals from the tire pressure monitors, it sends a data signal to the BCM and IPC to say "service TPMS"

You need to reflash the PDM. Not the BCM.

Well I just came around to doing this again, n I took apart the new pannels n put the window switches from both side of my old pannles in the new ones n still has it. Do I still need pdm or bcm update?
