LMM: Service 4 wheel drive

After boosting my truck with battery cables, i got a "service 4 wheel drive" light.
I have no codes and my fuses are good.. I'm a little lost where to start.

You need a Tech II to read the Transfer Case Control Module codes. Start there first.

It could be just a bad fuse. Mine came on and the switch would say it was unable to go into 4wd but it was in 4wd. I thought the switch was bad but it ended up just being a simple fuse.

My LMM showed that code the odd time and my 4wd always worked perfectly so I never worried about it. So I wouldn't worry much unless it happens again.

After the batteries are charged, you can disconnect the ground cables for a few minutes-- from both batteries-- that may reset the computer.

I unplugged the batteries and same story. The little orange indicator light does not come on on the 4x4 switch, also can't hear it shift into 4x4 when i turn the switch...any ideas? Don't really wanna take it to the dealer..........

Checked both fuses underhood and on the side of the dash right?

Then you'll have to get the codes read with a Tech II or a good Snap On scanner.
