Definately a noticable different when you rtun your finger across it.

Hmm..perpendicular to the "normal" cracking? I forget...how bad was the rod bent from that cylinder? Was that the "oh shit" one?

Tom the worst bent rod in James' engine is the one in my avatar. All other were much straighter. Was bent enough to chew off some of the skirt.
