Hey all, so I'm trying to think up a lift pump system here using the kennedy diesel pump, the kit's hes got on there are pretty pricey when you add in the fuel filter head plus pumps.
I did a quick ebay search and found some fuel filter heads for about $30 that will fit the CAT or donaldson filters on it which is what I want, so the question is are these fuel filter heads good enough or is there a reason to buy the $100 fuel filter heads like he supplies. or if there is any other options let me know.
if you want to know more, I play to run a single kennedy lift pump with my stock filter still in place (CAT filter now) with the primer, and then a second filter with a water seperator (Donaldson) somewhere near the pump.
this would be going on a lightly tuned truck if it makes any difference, no high HP, just a +90whp EFI tune ontop of stock and small bolt ons (exhaust intake ect.)
here is a link to one of those cheap filter heads I found, only difference I can see is the inlet is smaller than the expensive ones but other then that I don't see how this could fail or be worse besides the fact of not getting a bit more fuel through.
