Hi Guys,

Just got my SDP twins ordered up from ATP along with new tuning from Rob, PPE manifolds/up-pipes, Air Dog II 165 and PPE shim kit. I am traveling to Inglewood in two weeks to have Mike L work his magic on my allison as well.

I spoke with Scott today and he will be sending me instructions on the install so that I can review them before hand as I will be doing everything myself. Can anybody provide a link or point me in the direction of a DETAILED thread concerning the install of one of these twin kits on an LMM?

Any help is appreciated, and YES, I did use the search function.

Thanks!

Honestly the install is not hard. Its all really straight forward. I think Scotts instructions will be all you need...

Good to hear. Scott actually told me on the phone that he didn't think he went into enough detail in the dissasembly of the engine but that's not really what I'm concerned with being as I had to take it apart somewhat to install the blocker plate and the downpipe I now have to find a new home for. My biggest fear mostly is getting the whole thing apart and having something happen to where I can't get it back together and drive it as it is my daily driver. Going to start on a friday night and try like hell to be done by a sunday night. I work Mo-Fr

Only thing I do differently is remove the lower oil pan completely to drill and tap for the return line. It doesn't take long to get it off and to me it is 100% better then over filling with oil and hope it pushes the shavings out.

X2 wish I would've done that. Also, if you choose to drill it with it in you will need a right angle drill, and even that will be a tight fit.

Looking forward to it. Got the new Mike L transmission done friday and the other supporting mods including the shim kit and ADII installed. Got the pipes and manifolds sitting here waiting for the twins to show up. Cant wait to get the EGR out of here.
