Well I don't know what I did but I was getting on the truck pretty hard down the interstate and it threw an overboost code and has a screeching sound if you spool it very quick or over 20psi. cruising around there are no issues and it builds boost fine, just screeches when getting heavy on the throttle. Not sure what else to say, is it done for??:(

Before you Get your panties all in a twist, check all of your intercooler hose connections. Make sure all of the clamps are tight, and also square. could be simple as a boost leak. Always try for the cheap/simple things first.

I just installed my EGR blocker plate today, I guess it is possible that I sprung a leak on gasket side. It only screeches under high backpressure or quick boost (not above a certain boost point, but dependent on how quick you spool the turbo). Is the EGR inlet more effected by backpressure than boost? I guess I don't completely understand the turbo circuit on this truck.

FYI, the tune is set to create exhaust backpressure for engine breaking above a certain rpm. The screeching sound is loudest when the turbo is building exhaust pressure for breaking.

I'm still learning as I go, thanks for all the input!! Either way, DMAX FOR THE WIN!! LOL! :thumb: thank you all!

It's probably a leak where you put the plate in. They make a screeching/howling sound. It will leak more with higher backpressure.
