Help: saving as a tuning file

i have a question about saving tunes off of a library into my tuning files in the EFI Soft ware,

i know i open up, say Dmaxtuner go to his library click the tune i want so it shows me the script, i highlight the whole thing top to bottom,

i open the note pad paste it in there, then i click file save as tuning file and name it and save it right?

or do i have to click save on the notepad options? cause when i do that it saves it as a text not as a tune.

it should be saved as a text and not a tune...it becomes a tune when you run that script on one of your tunes:thumb:

You are downloading a script. Its a text file. You need to open up your stock tune and in the tune tool, run the script over your stock tune file. (the tune tool uses that text file). Then you need to save as the tune you just created from the script so you dont actually change your stock tune.

Ok so I have a bigger problem now when I go to open my V7.5 on the laptop it say error then it says it's in demo mode? And when I close that message the whole efi 7.5 closes! So I think I'm gonna have to uninstall it a d then reinstall the softt ware and as far as my stock tune goes I don't have it!

Either connect your V2 to the computer before you open the Tune Tool, or enter you registration details in the Tool Too. Help --> Register EFILive.

thats the thing i cant click any of the buttons on the tune tool, it closes it as soon as i close the 2nd erroe message thats tellin me im in demo mode,

im gonna play with it some more, it was goin crazy, it save a whole nother efi folder with out me askin it to

i wasnt sure if i uninstalled it and then re-installed it if that would hurt anything, since the v2 has both mine and my buddies trucks in there. id assume id be ok?

long as you dont delete the folder with your .tun files you'll be fine

Make sure you email your stock tunes to yourself and also save them on a thumb drive for back ups

so ill save all the .tun files in another folder as well. and see what i can do,

alright thanks! i might just have to buy a tune from you and have you show me, the guy that tuned my truck before i got the v2, tried to show me but he was busy and went through it real quick, ohhhh and just so you know, im bryse batt, haha i couldnt find you at edon to get those tie rod sleeves! i saw you but you were on your way to the track!
