I've already got most the parts for a twin kit, thinking about using my s464 and throwing an s480 under that..I will also be getting 40% overs and an LBZ regulator, how well do you all think this will work?

Friend of mine had a similar setup, can't remember the exact turbo specs, but it was a 64mm and 80mm MPI kit with 40% over sticks, LBZ regulator, and I think a modded stock pump in a LLY. Ran great, but a bit much for stock bottom end

I was just wondering last night about pretty much this same thing. Why do most go with an s300/s400? I was thinking s466/s480 or s483 after I get my motor together.

Well I've seen people do stock/s480 before without blowing the engine, I just figured this wouldn't be much different, just a little bigger top charger that still spools like stock..

Its actually A LOT different. A 400 frame will flow way more air than a stock vvt. A 464 setup the right way will make around 700rwhp by itself with enough fuel.

I thought you went with a remote mount setup from Trent?

I did but the kit still isn't right and after we forgot our little fight we had, in an open forum he told me he would take care of it, but I have tried to contact him and sent him the same email 6 times and still nothing, that was back in November..

So for the same cost for everything to put it back to a regular single kit, I could have the s400/s400 twins..

So he said **** me I guess so I'll get my shit elsewhere..

I wouldn't go much over 600hp on a s464, 700hp is way out of it's map..I'm not trying to run turbos out of their maps and do crazy fueling mods on a stock engine, I was going to do a big single turbo which can bend rods and do everything this twin kit will..I was conservative tuning and use the turbos within their maps..I've seen stock turbos over 600hp as well, but does it make it right?

I've never seen a bone-stock charger over 600 hp.

JNeal has a 463 on his LML build and its at 650 with a 2000 shot on 100 over sticks. I doubt a 464 would be out of its map at 700.

I've seen them in the high 500s I know..there are people here that pull with theirs and they are hitting damn near 600hp on some crazy fueling..like I said, I won't be doing any crazy fuel mods..Im also not gonna pull/drag this truck, I just want to use the turbo I already have in a twin kit and keep it around 600-650 tops..it's just my truck I drive once in a while..when I get back from deployment I will have put 7k miles on it in 3 years if that tells you how hard/much I drive it lol

Damn. Get out and drive that thing when ya get back home!

It might be a little bit more laggy than using a 300 frame but it should make a fun play truck.
