What’s everyone think about this? They seem pretty happy according to their instagram posts. Made 1250hp 18xx torque on an engine dyno after 78 runs they cracked a piston.

How long is an engine dyno pull 10/20 seconds. So their motor lasted 13-26 minutes at power, very few of those being over 1000hp

Edit: tapatalk wont let me add a pic I’ll do it later

I guess it depends on what pistons were used. I get the impression that is a street motor which means they're probably cast pistons. I don't see a problem with that. Probably would have been over 1000, or close to it, on a chassis dyno.

Edit: so I just looked up the Wagler Streetfighter rotating assembly. They're listing it as a 1000 HP rotating assembly (which most people are talking about at the tire rather than crank). There's no way I would sell a set of stock replacement/delipped pistons for an engine pushing 1000 hp. Why not at least step up to the Mahle Motorsports race cast?

Mahle Motorsports. Same that’s in my truck that’s made 100’s of 1000whp passes.

See my edit. They're delipped stock replacement pistons. That's pretty lame.

I could have sworn they said mahle Motorsports. They’re claiming it’s an 800hp motor to the crank. I’d rather roll the dice with a factory lly short block.

That is a disappointment in my opinion. On a chassis dyno or a track that engine would not last long. Never had a wagler part impress me yet other then the twisted pedestal and intake. Just like the whole DX crap. It's cool revving in parking lots but it doesnt work at the track.
It's hard to beat the fingers pistons. 3 years of hell on mine and they look great.

Their Mahle race cast pistons are in their competition street engines on their website rated to 1000hp. Anything over they have it listed as a forged Ross piston option. If I recall 1000hp is still a rough limit for the race cast as well isn’t it ?

Their ratings are at the crank. So 800ish at the tires

Why so much hate? For an entry level budget build rotating assembly I don’t think it’s that bad. This is for guys not looking to make 1000+ rwhp. More for your dd guy wanting that 600-800 rwhp. IMO I think thats pretty damn good and cool that they tested it to find the limit not many do that. I would put it in my truck.

They said on instagram its rated for 800hp at the crank. That’s about 680 to the tires for 10k. My stock lmm short block made it 500ish passes in the 500-660whp range until it cracked a piston. Is that 10k worth spending?

I honestly think it's a good deal. How much would you have in stock replacement parts for sn over haul?

Was rated at that before they did this testing. Go on their website. Now rated at 1000hp. 10k? $5175 also on their website. Not sure where you got 10k???

I can’t find their short blocks on their website but the street fighter rotating assembly is rated at 1000hp and is using mahle clevite pistons. On Instagram they said it’s rated at 800hp so it must be something different

You guys are also forgetting in some of their posts, they claim 800 RWHP and then they refer to another rating at 1000hp crank. There’s differences in the units of measurement they use as not every post or online rating is in rear wheel hp. Their entry level kit is what they tested which has delipped pistons, af cam, forged Callie’s crank, budget rods and let’s not forget the entire kit comes with all the bearings needed. I believe it includes main studs and an oil pump but could be wrong. That’s not bad IMO.
