S&B Help

Can someone with an S&B intake for an LBZ do me a favor?
I need to know what size and thread type (metric or standard) and length the 2 screws that hold the intake/air filter to the side of the air box are.
Both of mine fell out and now my air filter just bounces around in the box.

I wish I could help you Dale, but mine doesn't have screws to hold the filter in place. I have an older S&B and the filter just clamps to the tube and bounces around in the box.

have you tried drywall screws

I have a clamp that holds the filter to the pipe, but where the pipe goes into the air box there is a flat piece that has tabs on one side and two screws on the other to hold the hole shiterey in the box. Those are the ones that are missing and no Larry, I'm not using no damn drywall screws!!

Try posting a pic. That may help people see what you're talking about exactly. And I have an almost complete S&B off my LLY maybe something I have will help

I have the same intake on mine but its at home in the garage. If I remember they are like an 6mm pan head screw?

Sorry but my bolt gauge is a little wore but I came up with this. Metric-#8x25mmx2.0 or standard 5/16x1"x18tpi.Hope this helps.

I'll see if I can measure mine tomorrow, Dale. I think the 6 mm screws are the ones that hold the clear lid on, but 5/16 sounds right.

Ya I just wasn't sure if it was metric or standard. But 5/16" panhead screw sounds about right.

I'm almost positive those screws are standard.

Mine fell out on mine lb7 and There either 5/16 or 3/8 and I think I used 1 inch long. But I put flat a flat and lock washer on mine.

Okay, Dale. I'm not sure if you still need this or not, but I got the info for you just in case.

The bolts that hold the intake tube to the air filter box are 5/16"-18 X 1", and the bolts that hold the clear lid on are #10-24 X 1/2" (I know you didn't ask, but I figured I'd post it up in case anyone else is wondering).
