But it's not what you think thank Gawd!
That is what it feels like although. Randomly a couple two three times I've started up Big Black (cold) it idles and drives like a cylinder dropped.
Shutting it off and restarting doesn't clear it. There are no codes thrown. The only code that is constantly thrown ,what I refer to as soft as there is no SES light illuminated, is a mass air code. Has done this forever no matter the tuning except for just running the Edge box. Throws this code running the old Bastard Stack and TTS tuning.
The first time it did this I had just unplugged my Edge box. So what I did is recheck the Bale Connectors by unplugging ,checking the pins and just blowing on them with my hot breath. I plugged them back in and waaa laaa it idled and ran smooth.
Well the other morning it did the exact thing. So after driving a short distance,a mile, I once again repeated the original fix. Bare in mind that I have NOT unplugged the bale connectors since that last incident.
The other known issue I have with this truck is a sticky FRPCV on the CP3 besides the Mass Air sensor which I have cleaned and replaced which I don't believe it has anything to do with this and I tribute that problem to either tuning or location of Mass Air sensor in the AFE intake which is close to stock location but who knows and I'm not going to put my stock airbox in to trouble shoot as I don't think that it affects anything.
So after this long winded post you may ask what am I getting at? What the heck is causing this if you didn't realize that is what I'm asking!
1) I don't believe that there is a pin connection problem although I can try and pull each pin out in-case one is pushed in.
2) Is there anything in the Bale Connections that have a constant 12V supply and is De-energize when you disconnect the bales?
3) Now I know one or more are either going to throw up in your mouth or say good ridens but is it time to get rid of the Old Girl! I'm at a 1/2 a tank of fuel and at better than $4.00 dollars a gallon for fuel and RISING ,NEVER to again go below $4.00 a gallon and the actual need for such a beast of a truck buy a 2500 Series HD gasser! I really like the looks of the new Bow-Ties.
So what do you think fellows what is up with my Dually or is it good ridens Mackin Ole-buddy?
