Can i run this tune on my stock trans. I know its going to frie either way but will this trans tune make it happen faster or help it at all.

i made my own that shifts at 3500 at wot and its holding up well. i think the higher rpm power is less stressful on it because there is less torque up there.

X2 the trans would be more likely to be hurt in the lower rpm's when torque is its highest IMOP .

If you are straining the trans the ECM will subtly pull back power. You may not notice it but it will show in your et and speed.

I run 4th gear up to 3800 rpm on my stocker. Haven't broke anything yet.

Dumb question from the EFI newbie here.

But, where do you actually raise your shift points? Or if anyone has a tune for me to look at that would be great.

X2, and in my opinion the stock trans may live longer this way, but that is just my opinion.

I would worry more about EGTs than the trans when shifting up that high. When I raised my shift points the trans shifted great but my EGTS went from 1500* to over 1750*.

I dont get why you guys fry your transmissions before you build them? There are more parts in there that get damaged by heat than just the clutches...expensive parts.

Because you build trans for food, so I can get my done cheaper. I'll buy you a steak...
